Bell’arte Salzburg

Ensemble for Ancient Music

The CD Himlische Weyhnacht combines festive Christmas songs from Martin Luther to Johann Sebastian Bach, guided by the choral "Vom Himmel hoch da komm ich her"... more

The Bell’arte Salzburg Ensemble presents a touching interpretation of the Rosenkranz Sonatas. A virtuoso performance with a full understanding for the emotional and spiritual depth of Biber's work, Annegret Siedel presents the Sonatas on nine violins from the 17th and 18th centuries.
The piece received a Supersonic Award and widespread recognition by the audience and in the press.

The CD Musik für die barocke Bühne - Baroque Stage Music focuses on the rediscovery of the entirely unrecognisable. Bell’arte Salzburg makes music public, designed not for the opera but for spoken theatre. Acting understood as unity of word, stage and music.
Academic support: Prof. Dr. Irmgard Scheitler

The CD Salzburg Barock - Music at the Court of the Prince-Archbishops by Emma Kirby (Soprano) (0300120 BC - edel/Berlin classics, co-production with the BR) received excellent reviews.
