The grande dame of early music, Emma Kirkby, and the Bell’arte Salzburg ensemble present themselves on this recording as true treasure-seelvers. On this present CD Salzburg comes alive as a radient centre of baroque music with the sound of sacred pieces and works for ensemble. Except for two instrumental sonatas (Biber and Muffat) all tracks are debut recordings.
